ESSAY COMPETITION ON THE HOLOCAUST
Students aged 9-15 from five schools involved in the project "Schools as local centres of keeping memory about Holocaust" take part in the essay competition. Students can express their vision of the Holocaust tragedy or reveal the content of one or more drawings that are placed on the website of the Holocaust project – https://holocaustabout.wixsite.com/project22010014/photo.
Requirements for writing an essay: volume – 100-150 words for students aged 9-12, 150-200 words – for students aged 13-15. Competition works are accepted in printed form in their native language. Three prizes in each school are determined by the internal jury, 15 prize-winners of the competition (3 from each school) will receive the prizes. Up to 8 essays from each school will be translated into English and published in our project book. Essays are accepted until March 10.

Dear participants of the drawing competition!
According to the joint decision of all five schools participating in the project the term of the competition is prolonged for a week time. Thus the drawings are accepted from 20 January to 1 February, 4 p.m. of Visegrad countries (6 p.m. of Belarusian time). You can vote for your favourite drawing until February 3, 2 p.m. of Visegrad countries (4 p.m. of Belarusian time) through the Google form that will be available on the project website for three days (1-3 February). The results of the competition will be published on the project website on 4 February 2022. Dear participants of the drawing competition!
Let us inform you that the drawings are accepted from 20 January to 25 January, 4 p.m. of Visegrad countries (6 p.m. of Belarusian time). The drawings will be placed on the project website. Each drawing will have a serial number without indicating the author. Then a Google form for secret voting will appear on the project website. You can vote for your favourite drawing until January 27, 2 p.m. of Visegrad countries (4 p.m. of Belarusian time). Then the jury systematizes the results. The results of the competition will be published on the project website no later than 28 January 2022. We are happy to announce the children's drawing contest "Holocaust through the Eyes of Children", which is being held from January 20-27th, 2022. Students prepare paintings and drawings dedicated to Holocaust and some other aspects of Jewish cultural identiry. Children's paintings are placed on the project website. The schools that participate in the project vote for the favourite pictures. Learn more

Dear friends, partners, colleagues and regular readers.
The main activities of our project were supposed to start a year ago. But due to the pandemic, the project was postponed in the hope that the situation will improve, and we will hold all the planned events and meetings with the partner schools. However, the dreams did not come true. Therefore, we will try to implement some of the project events remotely. Unfortunately, the impossibility of arranging face-to-face meetings, the lack of mutual trips and interpersonal contacts do not add motivation to the young participants of the project.
So we hope that the first planned event «Children's Drawing Competition» on the theme «The Holocaust through the Eyes of Children» will somehow revive our common work. The competition regulations will be placed on the project website in two-three days. The time frame for its holding is January 20-27th, 2022. The results of the competition will be announced on January 27th – the International Holocaust Remembrance Day.
